Hi, I’m Day Pedrosa.
And if there is one thing that has always defined who I am, it’s movement.
I love feeling the sun on my skin, my feet in the sand, the energy of a beach tennis match, and the feeling of living life intensely and authentically. For me, what we call “Brazilian confidence” has never been about perfection. It’s in the way we feel, in our energy, and in the courage to be exactly who we want to be in every phase of life.
Because we women are made of versions.
And I learned this even more deeply after motherhood.
The body changes, and so do we
When my daughter Sofia was born, I discovered a strength inside me I didn’t even know existed.
My body transformed to carry, nourish, and welcome a life. And there is something incredibly beautiful in that. Motherhood taught me about love, devotion, and feminine power in a way that is impossible to explain.
But, between sleepless nights, new routines, and the breastfeeding process, I also began to notice changes in my body.
The mirror reflected a strong woman, fulfilled and happy for everything she had lived. But, at the same time, I missed reconnecting with a part of myself. And this feeling had nothing to do with following standards, but rather with my own self-esteem, identity, and the desire to recognize myself again.
An act of self-care
It was at that moment that I discovered Silimed® and decided to have my mastopexy.
For me, this choice was never just aesthetic, but also emotional. It was about looking at myself with kindness again and understanding that taking care of yourself is also a form of respect for your own history.
I believe our body is our home. And every home that houses life undergoes changes, marks, and transformations. There is no problem with wanting to feel good inside it.
Just as I eat well, play sports, and seek balance in my routine, this procedure was also part of my self-care process.
Today, I see a complete woman
When I look in the mirror, I don’t just see the result of a surgery, but all the versions of me coexisting there.
I see Sofia’s mother, the woman passionate about the beach, sports, and freedom, the professional who works with image and communication, and, above all, someone who chose to feel beautiful in her own way.
True confidence, for me, lies precisely in this: the freedom to live every phase of life without guilt, understanding that beauty is not something static.
Beauty is self-esteem in motion.
And feeling comfortable in your own skin will always be the greatest trend of all.
