COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
IN BREAST IMPLANTS

Commitment to Safety

For over 45 years, we have been leaders in safety and innovation, both in the raw materials we use and in the production and monitoring processes, reaffirming our commitment to the health and trust of our patients.

Silimed, a pioneer in printing serial numbers on each breast implant, ensures proper control and safety through the traceability of its products, from manufacture to implantation. This individual identification gives the surgeon and patient full transparency in every surgery.

The safety and performance of Silimed breast implants are backed by multiple clinical studies, guaranteeing health and well-being for our patients.

Silimed Commitment to Safety
Silimed, focussing on safety and well-being, works with transparency by providing key information about precautions, advice and care measures

Patient card

For increased safety, every box of Silimed implants includes a sheet with the serial number, reference and implant volume.

This card should be safely stored by the patient and presented at examinations such as mammograms or bone mineral density tests.

If future surgery to change the implant is needed, the patient should give this sheet to the plastic surgeon to enable them to choose an appropriate new implant.

Silimed Register your implants

Register your implants

Silimed produces each breast implant with an individual serial number and puts this information on your Patient Card. How to get your card and register online:

  1. Collect your Patient Card from your plastic surgeon on the day of your first check-up;
  2. Check the labels with the serial numbers of your implants and complete the additional information: name, date of surgery, name of the surgeon and their medical registration number (CRM). Don’t forget to keep your Patient Card in a safe place. We recommend you take a photograph of it so that you can store it digitally and access it easily.

You are unique and your breast implant is too.
